A3 Tuning Packs

I have seen on the internet about these plug in T-Boxes that simply plug into the wiring and it gives you extra 30+ HP. Does anybody know if these work or not, and do these invalidate the waranty and Can Audi tell if it is fitted or has been fitted. I have a A3 2.0 140bhp new model 07 plate, is the 170 model the same engine and if so what if any is the differance so i can get it changed.....

Hi Just to reply to my own post about the tuning packs, I have now fitted such item and it has given a considerable boost to the car without serious increase to the fuel consumption...It was claimed that it give up to 38 BHP but in fact it may have given about 20-25 BHP increase.....Not bad for the price it was. I paid about £30 from Germany but you can get them from Ebay but they are about £60. if you are requiring one i can forward the link............It really works and gives great all through power increases....

I would look in to chipping or remap first. I dont like the sound of plugging some thing in that make the ECU do what its not made to do.
