a3 2.0t loud exhaust.

I have an a3 2005 2.0t with 11000 miles on the clock and have had the car for only three weeks/the first week it was quiet and smooth,then suddenly the exhaust become louder and gurgley when you rev and let it go,also my fuel consumption is on 19 to the gallon around town.I tok the car to an audi dealer who said ther is nothing wrong and exhuast is loud on all a3 2.0t ,i know there is a problem and im going to take to another dealer to check,if you have had a problem like me please let me know its driving me mad. thanks

When you say loud... do you mean like it blowing?? quick check... when the engines is cold... ie been off for a while... put you hand with a rag of the end on the exhaust for a second or to and listen to see if you can hear the air escaping else where... That want i alway do... dont hold for too long... (the only down side if there is a leak you tend to make it worst with the presure blasting out else where...)
