Default Couple of problems??

Hi, i have just bought an audi a3, says quattro on logbook, and have found that the boost cuts either out or decreases at 3k rpm? anyone know why? also that brake warning light (circle with exclamation mark in middle) has starter flashing but pads are alright and there is fluid?
thanks for any help!

In Regards to the brake pads... the lead which fastens to the pads may have come off or broke or bad a connection.. i would suggest whipping each wheel off starting with the front and check the pad indicator lead on each pad.. (i think the wear inicators are only on the front, hoever as its a S3 i may be wrong, it may be front and rear)

Cheers

Rickt
