Hi all,
I have recently purchase a 2003 Audi A2 1.6 FSI Sport which had only done 30000 miles which i thought was good for the year. When I drive around town (short distances) its fine i have no problems other than this knocking when pulling off, of which I have established the problem. However when i travel with work on long distance i.e. over 100 miles i get the engine management light which keeps returning the following code: P0546 - Exhaust Gas Temperature Sensor Circuit High Does anyone know if this is a common issue and how i can fix this problem? Someone suggested a 'lamperprobe' but again unsure what that means exactly? Keep us posted Dan |

Ye its def not a lambda probe, the dealership told me it was even tho the following error was showing:
17861 - Exhaust Gas Temp Sensor 1 (G235): Open or Short to Plus P1453 - 35-00 - - I changed the lambda probe and it didnt solve the problem on my S3, so now they said its a temperature gauge (part number - 06A919529 and its been 8 weeks and I'm still waiting, apparently audi in germany are taking the p!ss. Just hope they got it right this time. |
