Hello all,
I have an Audi A2 since 5 years now. 96000 km without any significant problem! :-) Unfortunately in the last 2 months I'm encountering problems while braking: every time I push the brake pedal I feel a lot of vibration on steering wheel . I've read a couple of threads in other forums about a problem on disks of brakes, but is not so clear. It seems that some customer after changing the disks keep encountering this problem. Now I am close to the 105000 km checkup so I need to know what to do. The problem is getting worse every day... and to be sincere I am a bit worried because when I am in the motorway and I start braking I feel a lot of vibration and I don't know if this can cause some security issues. Must I change disks immediately? Should I change car before spending a lot of money in vane? Do any one of you had this problem solved changing brake disks? Thanks in advance for your help! An italian A2 owner! Last edited by italiana2 : 04-30-2007 at 05:10 AM. |

if you are doing over 50 miles or 80 KPH and you feel the shudder whilst breaking, but this disappears if speed is below 40 miles or 60 kph then this is an indication of warped disks,
Just replace them, easy job, but also replace the brake pads (they wear into the disk) This should not be an expesive job, as on ebay sets (including pads go for about gbp 50,- It could be in your case that the pads are worn and need just to be replaced |
