Troubled indicators

Has anyone experienced problems with the indicators on a A2 1.4 tdi?
The Hazards work ok as does the lock/unlock flash but the left, right indicators have suddenly decided not to work. A relay problem perhaps?
Any ideas?

how strange is that. my a2 1.4 tdi has started to do the exact same thing today. have you had any luck sorting this yet?

Yes.
I ordered a new indicator flasher unit from VAGparts, that took about 4 days to arrive and a torx screwdriver from Halfords. Removed cubby hole thing above ashtray by jamming fist in and pulling out (as advised), removed ashtray with torx screwdriver and then pushed out climate control unit and radio from behind. That gives you access to the flasher unit! Piece of cake to replace, but don't try removing the old unit before seeing how the clips work on the new unit. Good luck!

i had a look today and managed to remove the old one. i just need to pick up a new one now from my local audi dealer. no doubt that will cost a small fortune!!
