A2 Spare Key Fobs

Hi everyone
I've just bought a 2002 model 1.4TDi A2 and unfortunately the dealer only had one key to give me. Has anyone gone through the key buying process recently and if so, any lessons to pass on? I could just go to a dealer but I'm looking around first.

ebay always has them on there, like 2 days ago, i saw a lot for sale of about 10 audi keys brand new for $40 USD

Thanks for the note. I took the same view and I've just bidded for one. The instructions on the internet for programming the key look interesting and the last thing I need is to get locked out during the process...

The missus says she is leaving the house for a day whilst I try to re-program the key...
