Corrosion

Until now, I've been extermemly happy with my June 02 audi A2 - now just out of warranty. The anti-roll bar is corroded. Has anyone else encountered this? it was off the road undergoing crash repairs for 5 months (I was stationary and rammed from behind! )The car was rebuilt at Wayside and has just under 40k on clock. but corrosion?! Anyone got any thoughts on this?

Answered in another thread, yes it does rust!! and the bush goes, the whole thing needs replacing.
