The wipers on my 2002 Audi A2 sport are not working properly. When
I start them they begin to move, slowly, then they stop about halfway
through their first cycle.Does anyone have any suggestions?

Thanks in advance,

hi, just had the same thing happen to my A6, dont know if the A2 lay out is the same but this is what i found. Looking under the bulkhead where the wiper motor and linkage are there are two feeder pipes leading too the heater matrix both are hot all the time (when car is running) even when you don't have heater on. Next to these pipes is the near side wiper linkage, the heat from the pipes drys the bushers out and it deteriorates turning to dust restricting movement of the linkage this with the wiper friction on the screen is sufficient to slow the wiper down and stop it in mid swipe. TO FIX ONE TIN WD 40. hope this help you
