hi bud , ive got a few quick questions for you if you dont mind, iv noticed you reply to quite alot of posts and you seem pretty clued up on the cars and i dont blame you, i bought the 2.2 5 cylinder and i damn well love everything about it now. problem is that it failed the its inspection on the emissions, which is bad enough but now the thing wont start at all. i did have a problem with the engine starting when it was warm and i seen that you replied to a guy with a similair problem and suggested it was the fuel pressure regulator.since i bought the car it had done this then just yesterday it stopped starting all together, it goes to srart for a second then just cranks away with nothing else happening!!!! its soul destroying as i was hoping to turn it into a track car
Sometimes that's what Audi is all about...destroying souls...LOL. Don't be worried. If you can pull codes on the ECU it should bring up your problem. See the thing with these 5 cylinder 20v engines is that it can be one possibility or a hundred possibilities. That's why it's so much easier to flash the ecu and pull codes. For example, you say the car won't start at all now. When you turn on the ignition(not Start it) do you hear the fuel pump come on? If not there is likely a problem to be solved there. If you do hear it come on and pressurizes the system and it still doesn't start but just cranks that could be the fuel pressure regulator, fuel injectors leaking, bad distributor, Knock sensors, bad leads, bad spark plugs, and a number of sensors could be going haywire under you hood. Not to scare you, but this is why it is so much easier to try and narrow it down to a couple or even one problem by pulling the codes on the ECU. I hope this helps you out. If you have anymore questions, I'm always here.

thanks bud im going to get someone this week to come and plug her in, hopefully open sme doors for me lol another thing i could do with is some sites to pick up some juicy bits for the engine and the bodywork.mainly power im thinking though the bodies are nice the way they are.
I was going to put the Rieger evo1 kit on my Cq and thought about it and decided to stay with stock. 034motorsports.com is a great website to get all the juicy bits you would want for the engine. There are other websites out there you just have to search real hard. TAP.com is another one. But like my original post states, I've got tonnes of these parts so antbody need stuff let me know. Talk to you guyz soon!

New to the site and saw your sweet ride! Maybe you can help me clean mine up with a few parts you have kicking around. Looking for the taillight filler or license plate surround and a set of headlights. Previous owner hacked in a set of eurospec headlights, chopped up the wiring to run them, and it now uses the foglamps as signals and running lights! Let me know if you still have some of these parts available. Thanks !
Coupe of Death...HAHA, sounds like my car...LOL. Anyway's most of the parts I have are body parts, But I do have a set of headlights with turn sigs(amber) attached and they are in great shape. I do have the license plate suround but it's cracked and missing a big chunk of plastic where one of the bolts go. Let me know if you interested in the headlights, or anything else as this stuff will go to the scrapper in 2 weeks...spread the word to anyone else you know with a coupe aswell who needs parts. Thanks!
