inner door handle

Hi
we have a 2.0 injection audi 80 nice big sturdy car but the other half tugged on the drivers door handle the other day to get out now its, stopped working, I'm guessing its been a case of the cables broke or come loose.
Now being the good girlfriend that I am and being the only one who is slightly mechanically minded i need to know how to get the door card off so i can fix the problem, i dont want to break the thing so any clues, all i have found is one screw under the door pull.

Hi there,

You have more than likely either broke the spring on the inner door handle of the hook on the end of the door lock cable has unattached itself.

Get the door card off and have a look. Careful with the plastic clips when taking the card off, destroyed mine!
