Audi 80/90 saloon & audi 80 coupe

I was wondering if someone can answer my query...
How many parts on the Audi 80/90 saloon (ie mechanically eg engine, breaks etc) fit on an audi 80 coupe

I can't seem to find a very comprehensive cover of Audi 80 coupe on the web so struggling to get information

Hi Joe,

As far as Im aware the 2 door Coupe was introduced in Europe in 1988 and was basically an 80 with a shortened wheelbase and a modified rear end. Therefore the majority of the parts are similar for both models - It came with the 115 PS 2.0E as well as the two 2.3E engines before a number of 5 pot engines were added later.

I am actually looking to place a 1.9 Tdi engine in a Coupe and am wondering if I will need to use one from an Audi 80 or if i can get away with the higher output later 1.9's from A3's and A4's. Are you also looking to do an engine swap or just looking to source general parts?
