1988 Audi 90. A newby at this. Engine is not carrying enough charge while running; 12.3A. Battery seems to be fine. Removing alternator to test and perhaps have rebuilt or replace. Alternator is detached but not enough clearance to remove through top or bottom due to engine hoses. Rights up against radiator core so don't want to force and damage. Which is the best way to get the alternator out?
Do I really have to drain engine coolant and remove hoses simply to get alternator out? Any tips? |
