Audi 2.0 80E Timing Details
I have a 1991 Audi 2.0 80E saloon. Its a 4 cylinder, 2.0L fuel injected model with an AAD series motor...It was sold new in Japan and I bought it second-hand in New Zealand. It has never idled well since I have owned it...the idling deteriorates as the engine gets hotter...many people have suggested I look for a vacuum leak in the air intake system...I have been running it on 91 Octane but it seems I should be running it on 96 Octane...but I was wanting details on the timing marks on the flywheel I should set it too..(how many degrees before TDC) the Haynes manual I have does not list any details for the AAD engine.
