audi 80 tdi check engine light
hi there. i'm new to the forum and i could do with some help with my car. the car is a 1993 audi 80 1.9 tdi (66kw). recently the check engine light has been appearing on every journey. when the engine is turned off and back on, the light disappears until some point through the journey. there is no pattern to when it turns on. it could be when going fast, slow, straight ahead, when the engine is cold or hot. driveability does not seem to suffer at all. anyone offer some help please??

Engine management light.
Hello,
i had exactly the same problem myself with nothing apparently wrong Plugged i in to the Auid diagnostic computer at the garage - cleared all faults logged on the ecu, since then it has never reappeared, obviously checking all the faults first. Some thing to try before spending a lot of money. good luck, john |
