Default Audi 80 Cabriolet - Manuel Roof Problem

Hello Guys/Gals,

I have just stripped out front leather seat and rears along with some more gubbings and have still to work out what control unit releases the rear flap so I can put my manual hood back in.

On the B-Pillar of the drivers side there is a switch that has been fooked for ages, so I have purchased a new one and am trying to fit it.

But I have no idea what it connects to and what is at fault at the moment. Basically my rear lid does not release as it should when you press the switch and I can not put my hood back in.

Has anyone had the same problem, does anyone know what controls the release and where it is.

Any help would be appreciated.

Have you checked the 30 amp (green) fuse at the fuse box? This blew on my Cab and the hood storage flap would not open.

PS There are also 2 small flaps which can be opened manually which allow access to the flap opening mechanism so it can be opened manually. Its described in the instruction manual. Good Luck.
