1994 16v Coupe

Hi everyone,

I'm going to have a look at a 1994 (L) 16v Coupe on Wednesday and I hope someone on the forum could give me some pointers please ?

It's got 120,000 miles with a full history up to around 95,000 miles.

Could anyone please supply me with a decent buyers guide or give me a run down on what to look out for please ?

Sorry reply might be a bit late by now, but you should look out for suspension problems, mainly springs and shocks, check clutch as people tend to over adjust them and you end up with whining noise, also release bearing is prone to whining. Make sure it's been run on good oil and regularly changed as the 16v are very dependant on good oil circulation. Make sure it hasn't been stood about long, the pumps on all Audi's are crap, fuel pump, steering pump etc, make sure oil pump is OK. Apart from that the 16v coupe is brilliant car, great value for money and suits everyones taste.

Thanks for all that mate.

I didn't buy the 16v I went to have a look at, the seller started altering the goalposts regarding price !

Instead I've bought an N reg 2.0E, superb motor and very happy with it. Decent history and it has 127,000 miles.
