87 audi 80 loses power after half hour

My 87 audi 80 1.6l seems to run quite well but after 20-30 minutes, it starts to act like it's flooded. Basically, it will start to lose power and if you push down on the gas it will flood. By pushing only a little bit it will continue on but will also continue to slow down until it just dies.

About the only thing I can say is that I haven't left the choke out. Any ideas are welcome.

is it carburettor or injection, sounds like carb problems, or maybe as its after your engine warms up your spark plugs and ignition leads might need replacing.
