help with quattro cutting out

i have a 1990 coupe quattro with a 10v NG engine, it cuts out when ever it wants but allways starts again anytime from 2 min to 2 hours, there is no reason to it cutting out, it could be cold or hot high revs low revs. i have checked as much as i can and cannot find the problem i have changed the battery and coil and leads. any help would be most appreciated

Hi. I had this problem with quattro coupe, KV engine
On this model, there are brackets from the inlet manifold to the exhaust manifold,and these had rusted away. Without the support of these brackets, the inlet manifold bolts slackened, and especially on left hand corners air was obviously passing the inlet gasket
Just a thought.
