Default Which one for me?

hey guys,

im currently car less (having sold my 205 gti) and im on the lookout for a fresh motor.

ive seen a few audi 80 coupe's around, mainly the 20v quattro and i think this seems like a fun fast car and should be moderately reliable (well more than my french gti!). but looking around, i realised theres several versions of the coupe, ie FWD, 4WD, 2.3, 2.6v6 etc etc.

so i kinda want people experiences, and which you'd recomend. i have around 1500-2000 to spend, but would like change

also what should i look out for when viewing a 80? i heard they are glavanised shells, so rust shouldnt be a problem?

cheers guys, deano!

Hi advice on what to look for is the same as any car really good to have some service history, when cambelt was last done, they have got strong engines and bodywork. To check if diff lock works just press button it will feel like the car is juddering where the wheels are locked it goes up to 15mph then cuts out, gets you out of awkward situations mud sludge etc.Hope this helps.kev
