80 2.0E - Should I buy it? (newbie)

Hello folks,

A friend is interested in my '95 Volvo 850 SW GLT. He wants to give his 1995 Audi 80 2.0 (S?), with a 5-speed manual gearbox.

Is it a good car? 0-60mph? Gas mileage?

Hi,

I had a 1994 Audi 80 2.0 Sport SE (8 valve) that I just traded in (for £500) to the local Audi dealer with 118,500 miles on the clock! Gets about 32-40 mpg (UK gallons are bigger than US). Still on the original clutch, no rust. Some things are impossible to get in UK (front mud flaps, carpet set). My wife was really sad to see it go (me too). We bought it from first owner with only 9000 miles in Aug 1996.
