Unhappy 2.6 V6 sensor faults

Can anyone help please?

My 1993 Coupe refused to start the other day, it spun on the starter but there was no sign of a spark. Diagnostics said the crank position sensor was at fault so I had it replaced. Several days later it refused to start again. Diagnostics said it was the crank position sensor again plus the cam position sensor and lambda sensor. Three faults at once? I doubt it.

My hunch is it's either a multi connector somewhere that's got wet/corroded or it's a connector onto the ecu. Does anyone have any information as to where to start looking. For example, where is the ecu located, where does the wiring run and how many connectors are there between the two. I need a reliable car, at the moment I can't trust it. Please please help, my wife has suggested getting rid and buying a nice fiesta, noooooooo!

It's located in the engine bay, mounted on the bulkhead just to the left of centre. It's a brown box about the size of a cassette with a connector at either end. The right hand connector is from the hall effect sender and the left hand connector goes to the ignition coils. In my case it was the right hand connector that needed a clean. You can almost miss it because it's behind a bracket with four connectors mounted on it which are the lambda sensors and flywheel and crank position sensors.

Hope this helps!
