Question Fuelling Problems

I am new to this forum and am hoping a more experienced enthusiast may be able to help. I have an Audi 80 2.0i sport. 1990.
when the car gets hot or has been running a while (more than 40 minutes) the fuelling starts to go wrong. It begins to over rev and lurch around as though fuel is not getting through. Have recently replaced the metering head and the cold start valve, and the fuel filter. I have read the Haynes manual and cannot get any more clues. Hope someone can help. Thanks
