94 Cabriolet central locking and hood

Hi to all.

I am new to this site, but, I wondered if someone could help.

I have a 94, 2.6 cabriolet and for some time now the drivers door has not been unlocking the boot, although the passenger side door has , today neither side would open it.
2nd thing, since today the electric roof lifts as though it is going to work, then the storage lid starts to lift and stops an inch from its bed, the motor keeps running for a while then it stops and nothing.

my questions are , is both the problems linked or are they seperate and what can I do about it

your guidance is extremely welcome

Did you get an answer? I have the same problem and whilst I can lift the electric hood by hand I would love to know what the answer to the problem is

Hi i have the same prob but now the roof will not work and can not even open the front catch with the twist handel on the top of the sreen,jamed shut,i do know that the alarm controler is under the rear seat behined the drivers side,and at the moe it looks like it has something to do with the roof as well,the ECU will be found uder there to,i have run va com on it and found no faults!! and checked the fuses,not even getting the roof warning lght on the dash any more ,but the alarm has started working when lock from drivers door! oh well looks like ill have to take the unit out and have a look..
