I have a 1993 90s i went to start it one day and it started to knock being a mechanic i instantly knew oil. I checked the pressure at the oil sending unit and there was no pressure so i checked the oil pump and it seemed to be working fine. Just to be safe i tryed changing it and that didnt help. There are no clogged screens or hoses. If theres no pressure at the sending unit obviosly you have to trace the problem backwards but the sending unit is mounted to the oil pump and cant go any farther back. Im not that familiar with audi repair mainly american so im getting very frustrated any ideas. Please help!!!

Thats what i thought but i checked and its clean as can be. I'm done messing around with this car. I've put so much time ,effort, and money in to this car ive had it. When it ran it was a pretty fast car for a 2.8 v6. I only drove it for 4 months and then it started in with this problem. My ex Girlfriend is the one that talked me in to buying it. I loved it until I had to try to fix it. I really appreciate the response your the first person to reply out of the forty or so people who viewed.
