Default 20v FWD?

hey, i own a I-5 2.3 liter 10 valve fwd audi 90. I was wondering if anyone knew if the 20 valve has the same block. The main reason behind my question is because my engine has 183k miles and my friends father has an audi 90 quattro (20 valve) that has a good engine (100k miles and i'd probably rebuild it before i did the swap) with a bad trans. Also if anyone knows what other parts i'd have to change (PS, AC, Alt.) that would be great, thanks.
