Hi,
I've recently purchased an Audi Coupe 2.2E - I've done some searching but not come up with what's casuing my problem. There's a really strong smell of petrol inside the car, I'm pretty sure it's not coming from the carpets or seats (not spillage) - I read somewhere it could be the petrol tank breather - anyone got any experience of this fault or advice? Also when idle my Oil Pressure drops an settles about half way, around 3 bar, but if I give it some gas or start driving as normal it jumps back up to 5 bar and remains there unless I'm stationary. Also the timing appears to be out as the car is 'running' fast, so first point of call is change cam belt and tensioner - could this be related? I'd appreciate any advice or things to check watch out for! Many Thanks ![]() |

Hi,
This might seem a silly question, but are you losing fuel? Regarding your oil pressure, what yours is doing is absolutely normal. Not sure about the car running fast though, as mine has started to do the same, but not all the time. CJ. |
