Default audi 80 indicator fault

Hi, im having a problem with the alarm system on my audi. I left the car for a few months on the drive without touching it. When i went to start it recently, the battery had run down, so i charged it. The only problem was that the alarm sounds right after you connect the battery back up, and the keyfob i had was broken. So i messed around unplugging the leads from the back of the alarm, to no avail as the immobiliser stops the engine from starting. So i had the keyfob mended. Connected the alarm and battery back up, turned off the alarm, and everything was fine....

I drove to a petrol station, and after i locked the car with the keyfob, the passenger side indicator lights all stayed on. They are supposed to flash 3 times, (Im not sure if all of the indicators on both sides are meant to flash, but ever since i bought it, only the passenger side has ever flashed), but they have just stayed on. I have tried turing the allarm on and off again a number of times, and once they did turn off, but the next time i turned the alarm on, they stayed on again. I cant drive the car with the left side indicators illuminated constantly, so i wondered if anyone had any ideads why the lights have started to stay on like this and any quick fixes?? I couldnt have plugged the alarm back in wrongly, as there is only 2 leads with very straighforward plugs attatched. Why would this problem have started whilst the car was left untouched??

And ideas or advice would be really appreciated!

Thanks a lot

Andrew.
