Hello everyone im new to this I have just bought an Audi 90 2.2 (1998 F reg) and im having a few problems with it
When i slow down when coming to islands, traffic lights etc the car cuts out and will not start for approx 5 minutes, it doesnt even crank over but after about 5 minutes it fires up and runs very well. It also cuts out when im just idling this problem does not happen all the time but it seems to be getting worse. I was told that the old owner did have a battery problem with it could it just be the battery that is causing this problem. Has anyone got any ideas on what it could be please. Thanks for your help Chris |

Start with the basics. Have a look at your spark plugs to see if they are burning correctly. They should be a sort of light tan colour. You should be able to find pictures on the net if you're unsure.
That doesn't really explain why it won't crank over for 5 mins though. |
