Hi all,
Im new to this forum and i have recently purchased an Audi B3 servies non turbo coupe with a manual gearbox problem. The car was a friend of mine and he has left to live in another country and just prior to departure the gearbox started playing up.
Symptoms:-
It shifts very smoothly but the gear lever has no positive feel except a slight detent when going into gear. Its very sloppy in the gate but you can select any gear no problem with no synchro problems or noises. When its in gear it just likes to push its self gently out of gear back to neutral! Rather weird really. It feels the same in all gears including reverse like an interlock or detent spring has broken?? Or the shift is not going full travel??

Any ideas/comments much appretiated
Cheers
Mike
