I recently fixed my oil temp guage on my Audi Coupe 2.0 16v, found that the connector on the back hadn't been fitted properly!

Only thing is, I'm not sure what temperature it should normally be showing. It barely seems to move off the bottom of the guage even on a long run. I have looked in the owners manual and it only mentions about upper and lower areas of the guage not about the actual temperature.

Cheers guys,

Pete.

I'd guess that the normal operating temperature would be around 90 degrees C on a run, going up to about 100-120 when you get to sitting in traffic (especially in the summer). This is just based on approximations from my Corrado though, as I know very little about your engine in particular.
Cheers,
Tom

Thanx guys, I think that would make sense as the guage starts at 60 and the next number is 130 with a line just under halfway, and it sits on that line. Must be working I guess!
