I own a 1994 Audi 80 sport SE auto and recently the radio started to pack up. (CD is still working). I know the radio is working as I plugged it into the wifes car. What I can't find is the aerial. I did hear that it's part of the rear window heater element and that there should be an aerial amp. Can't find that either.
Please can someone point me in the right direction as I'm getting rather bored of the same CD's

You're right, the aerial is part of the rear window. I had an Audi 80 some time ago, and I stupid guy hit the back of that car really bad, so the rear window had to be taken out to do the bodywork. Anyway, I think I saw the amp you were talking about somewhere behind the rear window, but I can't say for sure. You should check the entire cabling from the headunit to the aerial. Or, if it's easier, install a separate external aerial.
