1991 Audi 80

Hi my name is Dave and i own a 1991 Audi 80 se which i am having a few prob's with. hopefully i can get some answers from this forum and fix it. I bought the car a while back and it had a flat spot at around 4000 rpm and struggled to rev further. Any way the head gasket blew so i had the head skimmed and a new head gasket was fitted and a new cam belt at the same time, thinking that this would be the problem solved, but it is still the same so i renewed the fuel filter which made a slight improvement, so now i am asking you guy's if you know of this type of problem and any advice that will help fix the thing.

Hi Dave I am new to this, my son has just bought a new Audi 80 which jumps and dies after about 10-20 mins drive, someone suggested that we change the fuel filter so have just got hold of one eventually!!! but now stuck on how to fit it can you give us any instructions at all. I would be grateful for any help.
