Audi 80 Sports,16 Valve,1990.

Hello, my name is Katy, my Audi 80 sports, 16 valve 1990, ( greg ) hesitates during acceleration and does not rev freely when throttle is applied slowly it revs smoothly however, quick throttle action results in drop in rev before reving up, now it is in the posistion where it turns over but wont start, looked at spark plugs they seem to be preforming ok any one got any answers? before this happend it was going A OK!

My 1988 Audi 80 has what sounds like the same issue. Initially when I start the car everything is beautiful... quick and smooth. Soon after the car warms up I can actually feel a slight hick-up from then on if at a stop, I can press the accelerator down and it feels like a go cart with a govenor on the carb... No power yet it never misses it just very slowly accelerates.

I have changed the fuel filter, plugs, cap, rotor, O2 Sensor found and repaired a few broken air hoses but still no relief.

It is like it is not getting enough fuel.

I am ablout ready to take it to a german car shop....
