I Have No Idea What This Is

has anyone, I have rested it on the radiater pipe to photograph it, but it seems to be a sensor of some kind, i found it dangling in the engine, wired up but not attached to anything

help greatly appreciated

It looks like the temp sensor for the cooling fan on the inlet manifold, unless I am very much mistaken!!

you wouldn't happen to know what it should be attached to do you, because a cooling fan for the inlet manifold doesn't ring any bells.

Its normally bolted to the inlet manifold on the head on audi and vw cars, it controls a blower fan that cools down carb/injection...I had one on my 2.2 UR quattro.

Don't know if u have found out where to bolt it on yet... usually sits on the front left corner cam cover bolt lookin from the front . Its engine bay temp sender, switches fan on after engine is turned off if it gets too hot in there
