Oil Light - Beep / Beep Above 3K

Last weekend I replaced the radiator on my 87 5000 CSQT. Afterwards the oil light and a beeper comes on when the engine goes above 3000 rpm. The oil is full and the filter was changed less than 2000mi's back. Any Ideas?

i have no clue waht to say to that other than i have a similar problem, i replaced the oil cooler and since then when my car gets nice and hot it sets off the oil sensor every thing full and good no compression loss nothign its only over 3k rpm its messed and it pisses me off

I read that if the beeper goes off it means foreign matter in the oil, or black death (sludge). Since it sounds like your cars are fairly new, it probably isn't sludge if you maintain them well. Sensors are more trouble than they are worth in my opinion. The first car with sensors galore was a Cadillac and it was a horror. Every single time the catalytic converter had a hiccup in heavy traffic, the 02 sensor would set off a sensor chain reaction. The LED would flash codes like HAL in Space Odyssey. Less computer more mechanical I say.
