I just purchased my first audi
its a 1991 200 turbo sedan, the car runs great but ofcourse has some issues. when i drive the speedo bounces up and down and my odometer wont work, then after awhile the speedo starts working and the odometer starts working. i read about the IC needing to be re-soldered ? that will fix my odometer also? the odometer and speedo both are electronic ? second problem.. my blower motor for the heat and a/c wont come on. i checked the voltage at the wires that go to the blower motor and it changes when i change from hi to low on the electronic control inside the car, sooo.. is my blower motor bad ? thirdly.. LOL.. i think its my heater control valve... there is a vac line but its been cut and i cant find where it should hook up if someones got a pic or something that would be great. there is a after market cd player in the car, i have the factory cd changer in the trunk is there a way to hook it up to the aftermarket cd player ?? lastly... whats the overall opinion on the 200 turbo automatics, reliable, junk, or what ? what are these worth in running driving condition ? sorry for all the questions.. i would appreciate any help and its a great site.. thanks.. Ok I just bought a "85 5000 S Turbo Automatic and I think they are similar except for the name change. The car runs fine except for a 1 second time to start, and runs good.As for your InterCooler I have seen some factory ones for sale on eBay Motors if you want a stock one.Vacuum Lines are generally asociated with the intake manifold as when the engine runs it creates a vacuum which sucks air in. If a line was cut just look at all the wires coming out of the Intake and see if there loose/not connected and that will solve your problem of the missing thingy. Also I have a question as well. How do you install a head unit on a 85 with a casette player ? Cause Im getting one from my brother in law soon and Im wondering where the CD is gonna be read .... Of course I could just get a iPod and use a mp3 to cassette connection....
