New Member...5000 Q With Teck Problem.

Hi,

I'm Bob and I just acquired an '87 5000 Q that seemed not to be normal..car ran too slow. I put my timing light on the ign. mark on the flywheel and it did not move when I increased the RPM. Thus, I concluded that the engine has no timing advance. The hot /cold sender unit checked out OK and my mechanic replaced my CPU with one from another 2.3 NF engine..audi 100..and it made no difference. My CPU was put in the Auti 100 and that engine ran fine? Any body have any ideas what esle it could be? It's a brain teaser!
