My '90 V8 has in intermittent brake warning light - sometimes it goes on at it's leisure and stays on for an indescriminate amount of time. I've heard that it's triggered by 4 items - brake fluid level, Pentosin level, hydraullic system pressure or the parking brake switch. I've checked fluid levels and they're OK as is the brake bomb (tested per AudiFans recommendations) and all is good. The Pentosin is overfilled which I'll remedy but could that be causing the problem?
I'm thinking it's an electrical connector b/c it occassionally triggers after a bump in the road. Anyone have this same frustration? |

The brake lights themselves work fine (unlike my old BMW that would periodically fail). THe problem I'm having is with the warning light that reads "Brake", not the System Check light but the system light.
Since it's intermittent, it's difficult to trace. To some degree, I've started to just ignore it. |
