New front End ?

I have a 2004 A3 2.0 TDi Sport 3 door in Ebony.

Some kind soul has reversed into the front of my car (looks like a tow bar was fitted) and done a great deal of damage to the front bumper / lower grille etc. They never stopped so I will have to foot the bill myself.

I'm sure this question will have been asked before on here but I couldn't find one.

Would it be possible and what extra bits would be needed to upgrade the front end to the "Large Grille Model"

I need a new bumper and grille anyway, I take it the bonnet would need changing, but what about things like headlamps etc.

Are Ebony Tdi Sports a magnet for this??? You have my sympathy as some tosser has done the same to mine althought the damage doesn't sound as bad as yours. Was thinking the same thing though, go for the facelift front end. A friend of mine works at the local Audi dealer, I'm going to ask him to look into it for me and I'll post when I find out.

As this happened almost 4 months ago I had to do something fairly quickly.

I managed to find a Ebony Black front bumper on ebay it was in very good condition and came off a 3.2 ltr Quattro.

It came with both grills, all badges and a factory fitted Audi splitter (you dont see many of them on the road) it looks like a different car.

Also managed to get the bumper reinforcing bar off ebay as well so in the end it didnt cost me a packet and the front end looks 100% better.

Sounds good Rigsby, stroke of luck getting the right colour on Ebay. Didn't realised how old your post was actually, the american date format means you don't twig, I was just flicking through the posts. Gonna have a poke round Ebay myself now. Cheers mate.
