I am considering a remap from AMD for £500, will boost the bhp from 140 to around 170-180.
I just wanted to know if any people have experienced a remap on an A3 TDI 140 DSG and if so how old is your car and was there any difference? My aim is to get quicker acceleration and hopefully reduce that 0-60 to around 8 secs. |

Beware of advice from friend of mine who work at Audi repair shop in Norway. You must never go higher than the torch of the 2.0l tdi with 170 bhp. this can ruin your gearbox. ( this means you can rice the torc with about 30 max). Audi control this in engine software. Most remap software DO NOT control this and can ruin your gear box. Take the car to Germany and get it right. Onely changes from 140 to 170 bhp is software (according to their specialist).
My car is 2007 A3 2.0 Tdi (140 bph)Sportback Qattro S-line, noebody is following me on normal roads, grawel, snow ore icy road's. summer tyers: 225/35/17" winter tyers : 205/45/16" no spikes give good grip on ice and snow, longer stop dictance on ice than with spikes regards bilitt From cold snowy Norway |

hi i have not done my car yet but intend to get a phase 2 remap done, basicaly upping the ecu software and turbo power output. i have done a fair bit of research through forums and you can get 195bhp out of it with apparently no clutch or gearbox problems, the tunning company i am getting to do mine are so confident with this remap they will come out to my work or home and carry out the work there then they can take the car back to workshop to rolloing road it, obviously the clutch and gearbox willl wear out faster then normal due to there being more pressure on them but i doubt it will make much difference. if you have the 170 engine as standard you are able to get 220+ bhp out of it but that is not recomended as the torque can apparently damage gearbox and clutch i suppose it depends how smooth your driving is, hope this helps, cheers mark
