Default What to get?!!?!?!? Sport, Se, extras?

Hi all,
looking to get an A3 as my company car (currently drive its cousin the Golf mk5).
Preferably the 2.0TDI (only the 140ps one, Lex seem soo expensive).

As a result I was looking for some advice, either the SE or the sport model, will be doing about 30k miles a year so lots of motorway, some people say the sport is a little harsh!

Extras, was looking for armrest, Driver info, steering wheel controls (onviously some only standard on SE, some on Sport). Anything else worth getting?

Out of interest, apparently on the Golf Mk5, with the winter pack, apparently you can get a long range remote with you can start up the fan/ heater (the diesel has a ceramic heater), anyone know about that on the a3?

Cheers
Edward

I would say go for the SE if your doing that sort of mileage. Its more comfortable as its suspension set up is softer than the sport and you dont feel the bumps in the road so much but for the sport you get better seats i.e electric lumber support.
Good luck with your choice and let us know what you get.
Cheer t-sport.

i would say sport for the better seats and handling (less body roll), you wont really noticed the difference in the ride if your sat on motorways all day long, and then just spec up the sport with the equip bits you need...

the best advise is to go to your local audi garage and take both out for a spin.. i find the SE seats dont feel as good as the Sports ones..

Also on the new A3--- would it be the sportline? that way you also next a nice bit of extra trim stuck on which looks better..

I think the best extra's on my car are the xenon headlights, auto dipping rearview mirror & outside door mirrors fantastic extras but do cost alot of money.
The cruise control is good for lots of motorway driving, if you do lot, which is standard on the SE.
If you do go for leather seats heated is a must, if you dont get it, you'ill always want it.
It all costs money so for work a SE is best , that said i would always have a Sport & spend on the extras, it's all down to money.

thats true.. its all down to budget..xenon headlights is a must... dipping rear view mirror...did my head in while driving a MK5 Golf, took too long to go back to normal i found while driving on dark motorways..

Crusie control.... i have it on a sport... im in the UK... its good when it quiet.... but a good thing to have!! (unless you fall asleep then its a problem i guess!!!!!!)

Please feedback on what you go for and spec!! or consult us before making the decsion if you wish!!

Well just put my order in! Getting the Se, with my original 'wants' on, steering wheel controls, lumbar support, and Driver info,
asked for a quote for xenons and a bose sound, but put me well above my limit!
May just ry thte standard replacement xenon bulbs.

Apparently they have upped the spec of the standard SE model to include 17" wheels, and put hte price up by £235 which is why my quote was higher than i expected!
Cheers for the advice!
