could anybody tell me what there a3 2.0 tdi is doing to the gallon. just been up scotland and on the a roads got 60 mpg yet on the motorway only got 49 mpg.

sorry can't give you the gallon conversion, but mine 2,0 tdi uses on average between 5,5 and 6,5 liters per 100 km depending on the weather (airco) and driving conditions

I have got a 1.9TDI and find that I get between 47 and 51 mpg. Possibly being in the higher latitudes of Scotland you weren't running the Air Con, and were averaging maybe 60 instead of 80??
