My son has an A3 which has been running erratically for a while, fuel consumption falling off and stalling on occasion. I bought 1 of those VAGCOM copy devices from fleebay and run VAGCOM 409-1 software. It came up with 3 faults initially 1 being the O2 (lambda) sensor, replaced that and £72.22 inc VAT, genuine Bosch item.
On testing again I now get only 1 fault, anyone have any ideas what this could refer to, it's:-
17916 P1508 Idle Sys.Learned Value Upper Limit Attained
The other faults were as follows:-
17967 - Throttle Valve Control part (J338): Fault in basic settings P1559 - 35-10 - - - Intermittent (Now cleared)
(also shown as:- 17967 P1559 Idle Speed Contr.Throttle Pos. Adaptation Malfunction)
16518 P0134 O2 Sensor Circ.,Bank1-Sensor1 No Activity Detected (Now cleared)
I think the throttle position cleared after I initially cleaned the O2 sensor, but the O2 fault was still there?
Any feedback would be appreciated.
Anyone in the Stockport area or South Bristol is welcome to have their car checked by my VAGCOPY interface just send me an e-mail.

ps Used the interface on my daughters brand new Seat Ibiza after the EPC light came on, 3500 miles and showing faults tut tut, anyway it went in and they said the ABS cable connector was loose.
