Default changed my battery, now have bad idling

Help! - I changed my battery recently and ever since then whenever I dip the clutch the needle will drop to around 500revs and and then settle back around 800revs but it has stalled a few times as well.

Any advice please?

I think your throttle control requires resetting.

The idle will be a bit erratic after a new battery as the ECU has to re-learn the engine's quirks. It's recommended that after anything that disconnects the battery you should go for a little drive (~10 miles)using all the gears and the full rev range, including a good bit of idling. If problems persist you've probably got some smut in your throttle body, get it cleaned!
