Gearbox problem, A3 1.6 1998.
Hi all, I just bought a 98 1.6 A3 and at first it was jerking at low revs takin off till i picked up speed (20/25mph). but yesterday morningit started making a deep growning noise. at first i thought id was something cought around a wheel or something but later that day the jerking an the noise got worse. it's definately a rotational noise and the noise gets faster as the car goes faster if you know what i mean. it's also there if i freewheel out of gear. i heard that they give Diff problems. i hope it's just a clutch and not the gearbox  . can anybody please shen some light on this one
