Just bought an A3 - temp gauge issue....

Hi everyone

Just bought an Audi A3, 1.6SE 1998 with climate control

The car is perfect, but after a 10 minute run, the temp gauge didnt rise above 65 degrees. Any ideas what I should try - or is this normal?

I have just bought a car with the same issue. Temperature goes to 90 then back to 65, and then up and down the longer I drive.

After looking at the previous posts, I have now changed my temperature switch which I hope will work (only changed this morning).

They are about £20 from an Audi dealer, and if you want to fit it yourself try this link Waks Wide Web

Not seen any problems since fitting, so I recommend this course of action first as it is probably the cheapest.
