bose sound system problem!

When i go to turn up the volume on my system it sometimes (well most times) goes to max volume! I can imagine one day its going to blow me speakers...has anyone had this problem before, can anyone help??

Common problem with Concert radios, it's the volume control and I think repair kits are available.

My concert radio does the same thing and has blown one of the speakers as a result..... You can get the problem repaired for about 80 quid, or you could buy a second hand one, with the risk that the same is about to happen.

If there are repair kits available (to quote badger)....any ideas where would be very gratefully recieved!!

Also if I may ask....how do you identify that your system is BOSE? I need to find out before I order a new speaker, and I cant find anything definate anywhere without ripping off the door cards?

ha posted at the same time, 80quid is a bit steap! but if there is no other choice. might hang on see if anyone posts something about where to get a repair kit from. been looking on the net but no luck so far.
