1.8 T Quattro

Hi, looking to get an A3 1.8 T Quattro (180bhp) facelft model (2000 x reg or later). Can anyone tell me if it's essential to tell your insurance company if you have it remapped? And if you have to upgrade brakes or susspension after considerable power upgrade? Would like to lower it a little bit for looks anyway, and possibly a light 20% tint. Also is there much speed difference in the 1.8 T and the 1.8 T Quattro? Are there any major problems to look out for while looking at these particular models? Any estimates on how many miles they last for? Going to spend some time shopping around, looking to spend about £6000 all in. Thankyou.

it is absolutley essential, i know some one who didnt tell their insurance company about a remap on a 1.8t cupra r and proceded to roll the car. They could have not payed out but luckily did.
