Default Remapping

Hi
Just looking for some advice on remapping (yet another one I know!)
I'm almost defo going to get it done. Probably with Superchips. Just wandering if any of you guys have actually told ur insurance company about it?? If I was to claim, would they check if the car was chipped? If so, could they detect it?!!!!
If you have told them, how much more (%) did your insurance cost?
Cheers
Johnny

if you have the revo it isnt detecatable bye any audi softwear. i have my s3 chipped with a revo but i would try find a company that do a live mapping on a rolling road cos it will suit the car much better and get much more out of it. jabba sport do i think and a few others plus you get to find out how many horse's have run away from your car.

I'll check out Jabba. Heard that Revo only gain about 20bhp; im looking for bout 65 and a promise of a huge torque increase too! ;-)
Superchips look really good and have a rolling road too, but dunno if a before and after rolling road is included with the hefty £500 price tag, doubt it somehow :-(

Hi Mate not sure where abouts you are but you can try Sussex Performance Car in Horsham they are on the internet they have a 4 wheel drive rolling road and give your 3 runs setting it up and a graph at the end, in addition they offer remaps blah blah blah.

Hi johny,

I had the REVO treatment on mine and it made a PHENOMENAL difference to both power and torque....I would strongly recommend getting the free 5 hour trial that they offer! If of course you havent already got something!.

Have fun

Default Revo Free Trial

Hey

Had the Revo free trial for a couple of days now. It's absolutely awesome! Feels like a lot more of a power increase than torque tho, which is what i wanted. Felt like the car had proportionally more toque than power before, like a diesel!!!
In the words of the great man Jeremy Clarkson "I can't not have this power in my life"!!!! Progressing with the real thing ASAP!!!

Oh yeah, my only concern is the price, my fitting centre in Glasgow are charging £500 plus tax = £585!!! That normal?!!! Sounds like an awful lot!

Sounds very pricey to me..Had Revo done to my Golf 1.8T about 9 months back and paid £399 (all in)...
Maybe your getting the SPS also???

Once you get the remap - make sure you change your diverter valve also...Forge are highly recommended..Standard fit Bosch diverter valves are prone to go wrong, especially after a remap!
